The curtain went up on the show Tuesday, November 30, 2004. Mae took the stage, and with very little help from her backstage crew, produced 8 healthy puppies--5 girls and 3 boys in just over three hours. Joining Mae and Tango from West Side Story were Maria, Tony, Riff, Anita, Krupke, Graziella, Velma, and Minnie.
